  Levistar is a gorgeous dark bay filly born May 28th 2011. She represents the best in German breeding & it shows. The photos here were taken at one week old & it is clear by her presence, conformation & movement that this filly will continue our tradition of high standards in breeding quality German sport horses. Both sire & dam were not only bred for jumping but carry strong blood for passing on fluid & graceful movements. Levistar was already inspected & awarded premium status by Oldenburg at only a month old. 

  Her dam Whispering star is classic in type with exceptional movement, conformation, breeding & character.  She combines the best in German jumping & dressage blood. Sire Coming Star is by one of the Last approved Cor de La Bryere sons & is an international competitor in the Grand Prix ring. Dam Mellody was an imported states premium mare by Contender x Lord. Ordala is by dressage legend Montevideo. Montevideo & Sauer competed in the 1983 European Championships where they took individual bronze & team back-to-back gold in 1983 & 1985 European Championships. The pair also competed at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles taking team gold & 6th individually. Other accomplishments include team gold & individual silver at the 1984 German Championships & individual silver at the 1985 German Championships.

   Sire of Levistar is the up & coming stallion Levisonn. While in Germany last year I heard a lot of talks amongst breeders about Levisonn, after seeing him in person it was easy to understand why people were talking. This is the only foal born in the USA by Levisonn for 2011. I was able with the help of friends to get semen before any agents were offering him. This is an opportunity not to follow but to lead in sport horse breeding.

  Levisonn passed his 30-days-test with a (total 8.93) in jumping (9.28) & dressage (8.26). During his70-day-test, Levisonn won by more than a 20 point margin with a combined 141.15. Levisonn won with scores in dressage 139.57 & jumping 130.19. Breeders of his first foal crop were very enthusiastic & commented on the elasticity in movement.

  Levisonns sire Levisto Z is the international figurehead of the Studbook Zangersheide (Belgium). In 2008 & 2009 he was nominated “Sire of the World" for his jumping ability. In 2010 USEF ranked as the number 2 sire for producing hunters. He was successful at the international Grand Prix level with rider Judy-Ann Melchior.

  Levisto’s mother  Hirtin, AKA (Chica Bay) was also a successful international  show jumper & full sister to Clinton I and II.
