Argentinus mare. In 2008 Conthargos won the Dobrock Show Jumping
Championship with a score of 9.5, he then continued his career
by qualifying for the Bundeschampionat. Conthargos' sire
Converter won 22 novice horse classes up to 1.30 m level & was
Oldenburg's Regional Champion in 2005. Converter qualified for
the Bundeschampionat & was runner-up show jumping stallion at
the World Championships of young horses in Lanaken. Maternal
grandsire, Carthago Z, demonstrated his quality in 1996 at the
Olympic Games in Atlanta & has produced numerous top competition
horses. 242 of his offspring compete successfully at 1.50 m
level & have collective winnings of EUR 3.25 million. Conthargos
foals are of exceptional types with athletic builds and
wonderful presence.
The dam line of this colt decends from Argentinus who produced
not only Jumpers but dressage horses as well. In 1996,
Argentinus was the youngest millionaire among Germany's top
sires and is still regarded as amongst the most successful
living Stallions in Germany. A successful advanced level jumper
himself, this Performance Class 1, Main Premium stallion has
bred both jumping and dressage stallions. Numerous Argentinus
progeny have been at the top of international jumping and
dressage for years now. Over 20 approved stallions, (including
the stallion performance test winner and Vechta price record
breaking, August der Starke) and numerous State Premium Mares,
many which have proved themselves on a national level, Eg;
National Broodmare Show, FN Performance Studbook), Performers
include Anka with Markus Ehning, Aleppo S-OLD with Isabell Werth
and Albano with Heike Kemmer - team gold medal winner in the
