This young gelding is sure to be a top jumper prospect. He is a
combination of international jumping quality. He has beautiful
movement with an excellent jump & technique. He shows a willingness
to learn & has a great disposition. He shows great technique in the
free jump. Recently started under saddle he has a huge canter and is
a bold jumper over fences. His sire Colman is a shooting star among all Holstein stallions. Clearly a performance horse Colman has an impressive appearance, energetic hind quarter action full of elasticity, & a sensational j technique & bascule for jumping. At his 100-day-performance-test Colman won the jumping part and placed in the top group over all. He is a son of the international show jumper Carthago. Dam’s sire Lord became one of the most famous stallions in the Holstein breed & was covering in Wöhrden in the past. In the third generation we find the outstanding thoroughbred Marlon xx. Colman represents the Holstein dam line 223, popular by the stallions Camposanto, Conello, De Kooning and Loredano. Colman has already produced more than 15 high quality licensed sons, Cancoon, Carantanus, Culture I & II, Catwalk, Con Cosmos, Casinos, Colmander, Colmani, Contagio, Cool Crack I and II, Cordarex, Cottbus and Coulthard. The oldest offspring was very successful in advanced level jumping competitions and made their father one of the leading German stallions. Commandants Dam line is by Lansing a producer of Champion approved stallions, State Premium mares & Premium foals. He has produced the record holding price for an unapproved stallion & has a number of sons/daughters competing in sport. Lansing is from the same mare and thus a half brother to the superstar stallion, Calvin Z, who has produced world champions at both age group levels & Grand Prix levels. His dam, Monoline, is also the dam of progenitor, Cantus, who sired the legendary show jumping gold medalist winner, Calvaro V and the stallions Come On, Callido 1, Callido 11 and Cascavel. Grand dam is by the holsteiner stallion Corrado. Under an agreement between the Verband and Franke Sloothaak’s Corrado was campaigned by Franke . He was intelligent, fast & careful, so he learnt & improved rapidly. The pair won the Grand Prix of Leeuwarden in 1993, & were second in the Nations Cup at La Baule. In 1994, Corrado won the World Cup Qualifier at Dortmund & finished third in the Nations Cup at Aachen. He also won the German Championship that year. In 1996, he won the Danish World Cup Qualifier at Aarhus, & the Grand Prix of Neumünster & Kiel. In 1997, Franke and Corrado were third in the Hamburg Grand Prix & fourth in the Grand Prix of Göteborg. As a sire, Corrado was again, an instant success. His international jumpers include: Classic H with Helena Persson, Cher with Piet Raymakers, Corrada with Peter Charles, Cosmina with Markus Fuchs, Cosmos Star with Evelyne Blaton, Caramia with Espen Johannsen, Canyon with Tim Grubb, Think Twice with Leopold van Asten, and Cabrio with Felix and Toni Hassman. Perhaps his most spectacular son is the grey stallion, Clinton, who was individually 4th at the Olympic Games in Athens, and second behind Shutterfly at Aachen in 2005 |
